The Magic of Sparkling Water
Sparkling water manufacturers create the fizzy sensation by injecting dissolved carbon dioxide gas under pressure into water. The carbonation causes small bubbles to form, giving sparkling water a delightful effervescent quality.
You might be surprised to learn that some aquifers across the world produce naturally effervescent mineral water. Some famous springs include Mihalkovo in Bulgaria and, perhaps most famously, Selters in the Taunos mountains of Germany. These artesian wells produce water that has had carbon dioxide gas leached into it, in the same way that minerals like magnesium and silica can.
Sparkling water is a great alternative to plain spring water and can add a bit of fizz to your usual hydration routine. Although there is limited evidence to suggest that any carbonated drinks can cause tooth problems, sparkling water is a much healthier alternative to sugary soft drinks.
The science behind the taste profile of a sparkling water is quite surprising. The bubbles are created from carbon dioxide, and this is slightly acidic, so the tingle you feel when you drink a great sparkling water is the activation of pain receptors in the nerves of your tongue. This pleasure from pain is similar to the buzz you get from eating spicy food and is one of the reasons why fizzy drinks are so moreish.

We can deliver to the Melbourne Metro area and Victoria in 1-3 working days, while other states usually take 3-7 working days.
You may need to sign for your delivery, and we do not deliver to Post Office Boxes.
